We thought it was time to do some Canadian travel! A trip has been organized and details are included in our club calendar for an event in Osoyoos B.C. Our sister club, B.C. Interior PCA are helping with some local routes and ideas for places to visit, including a winery tour!!
The Holiday Party saw the debut of the Red River Region Porsche Club’s 2025 Calendar featuring photos of club member’s cars at various club events and at featured locations throughout the area. A group of 10 cars with 19 members gathered early Saturday, August 3rd to drive to Portage la Prairie and lined up at a designated muster point with many other cars to be lead to the Pistons & Props Car Show at the Manitoba Airshow, celebrating 100 years of the RCAF. We enjoyed a group drive on a great day to Syl’s Drive Inn in Carman. We had 15 cars with 25 members who gathered and drove to Carman as a group. The weather co-operated – no rain and just enough cloud cover to make eating outside at Syl’s comfortable!! Everyone seemed to enjoy a great lunch and drove back as a group. The club organized a drive to Brainerd MN to attend Nord Stern PCA’s Loonacy Weekend which is a club Driver Education and race weekend at the Brainerd International Raceway (BIR). We organized a scenic drive through rural Minnesota and drove the Lady Slipper Scenic Biway! We enjoyed great roads and almost no traffic other than us for the 7 hour (370 mile) drive!! The second drive of the season and we tried a Sunday for a change!! It seemed to sit well with many as we had 24 cars with 38 attendees. We enjoyed a scenic drive down River Road and then through Selkirk winding our way around to Lockport to have a leisurely lunch at the Half Moon Drive Inn.
The club was well represented at the Kleefeld Car Show. 6 cars with 10 attendees gathered for an early meet to drive to Kleefeld and then we were staged at the Rec Centre grounds. We had 2 other cars join us in Kleefeld. The day started out wet, but turned out to be a sunny but windy day with lots of cars at the show!
