A group of 13 cars with 25 members gathered for a drive through the northeastern area of the Province to the Winnipeg River Heritage Museum in Ste. Georges MB. Everyone had an opportunity to view the museum which consists of two buildings with a wonderful selection of history of the Winnipeg River people. The museum is definitely worth visiting! Following viewing the museum, a wonderful lunch of fresh made sandwiches and salad were catered for our group. We had an early start and the weather was wonderful – it did get a bit smoky when we got close to Powerview-Pine Falls, but the smoke did clear off by after lunch. We would like to thank our volunteers from today’s event Don & Eva, Dale & Eleanor, Linda & Barb and Ken.
We would like to acknowledge and thank the museum staff as well as the Director/Curator for the time spent with our members to explain all off the exhibits. The museum is state of the art and we would encourage all of our members to visit as it was well worth the visit!
We look forward to seeing you at future events!
