According to the calendar it’s officially spring. Although we are having sunny
days the air still has some winter bite and the roads , dry in parts , still have some
ice covered surfaces and ruts. Soon we will be trading the ruts for our seasonal
potholes. I have seen a number of Porsches on the road over the last few days
and hopefully the temperatures climb and we see several at the April 5th meeting
in the parking lot at Frankies Italian Kitchen.
For those members that placed an order for the Club Golf Shirts or Name Tags,
they have arrived and will be distributed at the April meeting.
We will be watching the weather and potential flooding closely over the next little
while to determine when we can safely set dates for our first Cars&Coffee along
with some spring drives. We do already have some destinations on the schedule
but welcome hearing more suggestions from members at the next meeting. Some
of the things to keep in mind are: the length of drive in time and miles, Pit Stops
locations for drives over one and a half hours and of course, a suitable lunch
stop. Following PCA guidelines we travel in groups of 15 cars maximum and if we
have more we split into smaller groups with a few minute gap in between so as to
not tie up traffic. With each group there is a leader and sweeper for safety.
Please continue to watch our website regularly to check on the Calendar updates.
