As February quickly is coming to an end we are getting closer to uncovering that extra car in the garage that has been dormant for what seems like forever. The long range weather forecast is promising a cold beginning for March then a warmer than normal April….we can hardly wait.
The big news currently, in case you haven’t heard, The Porsche Centre of Winnipeg has been sold and the new ownership group takes over on April 1, 2019.
The new owners, Go Auto are a company that owns and operates some 40 dealerships across Canada including Porsche Edmonton. This, of course , is very positive for us as they are already in the Porsche family and culture.
Braeden Mueller current GM will be leaving and moving on with the Knight Auto Group. The new GM as of April 1 will be Anderson Le moving from his current position of Sales Manager.
We wish all the best to Braeden in his new endeavours and thank him for his support and generosity with our club during his time in Winnipeg.
The new owner group will be completing the new dealership building in the planned location on Kenaston Blvd near IKEA.
The first Porsche fall Classic Sponsored by Porsche Canada for Canadian members is planned for Sept 27th to 29th and to be held in Mt Tremblant Quebec. The plan is to rotate this from east to west every second year.
Lastly , at this time , we only have 106 days left before The 20th Anniversary tour to the Rockies. I’m sure this time will pass by quickly.
Our next meeting is at Earls at 1215 St Mary’s Rd in the NW corner of St Vital centre, we look forward to seeing you all there on March 6 at 6pm for dinner and 7pm for the meeting.
